4g for smartphone on oreedoo
By westernindoha •
FINALLY ! Time has come for 4g on mobile.
I went to Oreedoo 2 days ago they told me they are launching it brand by brand...for now it's only Sony and Nokia Lumia.
Should follow Iphone Samsung and HTC one in following days...
I can't wait to have it availlable on HTC one.
Anyone tried the speed on the 4g?
How is it?
In dubai I was getting 50down/40up...and average of 20/15 in most area...Shall we expect the same or sub-standard again?
You have other useful tips for living my life ?
FYI, I changed carrier specifically to use 4g and it was made clear to the seller, two of them. They activated and told me how to purchase the data package....but at no point they told me I should do anything special for the 4g...if not google, I would have never known...
But it is ok, for you it is normal cause for you the above is standard, from where I come, it is very annoying and unprofessional.
Well finally, Ooredoo 4g seems not that bad, that the essential. Their customer service on the other side, is polite and courteous, but not knowledgable and never going extra step.
Before buying any new item one must get some info on its use ... Tue, 29.10.2013, 05.46 hrs .....
Oups!!! I discovered (and nobody told me at the shop of course) that you need to send 4g to 121 to activate the 4g for 15QAR per months.
I did that, then restarted my phone (again it was told nowhere) not I have the 4g logo on top of my HTC...and speed from my bedroom have come from 2mb download to 22mb. But upload only bumped to 2.5mb from .8...
So not that bad oreedoo ! Beware, testing your connection consume looooot of data!!!
Ok, let me give you some feedback...OREEDOO YOU A JOKE !!!!
On the same HTC one: top-Average download/top-average Upload speed in Dubai : 45-25/55-15
In doha 4-2.5/.8-.6
Superb job ! Your network is only 10 to 25 times slower than Etisalat ! Congratulation to the richest country in the world per inhabitant...!! Congrat !!!
Dude really???? you really want to compare Dubai and Doha again???
Fact that Oreedoo is launching brand by brand should tell you a lot!!
They havent still fixed their fiber optic issues yet!
