Successful Turnout at Doha's First Flea Market
The Doha Flea Market's first edition took place yesterday at the Doha Swiss Belhotel ballroom, between 4pm and 11pm, with 50 sellers running their own stalls, and an "overwhelming" number of visitors, according to the Gulf Times.
This is said to be the first flea market in Doha, and will take place on a monthly basis.
As for the goods, the market is split up into three sections: second-hand goods, hand-crafted items and fashion, and food. Items vary from jewelry, to books, to furniture and house hold objects.
According to their website, "The DFM is the meeting point for all those who want to remove stuff in good conditions from home and for those who come to bargain, browse or simply have a good time with friends in a good atmosphere."
They also identify themselves as a social Enterprise that promotes sustainability and opportunity in the wider community. It is about innovation, entrepreneurship, collaboration, as well as fun, bargaining and friendship.
The market is open for those who want to sell, as well as those who want to buy.

Go to Souq Haraj 4pm onwards, thats where you can find the real flea market.
This flea market is far different than the real flea market. Here only the name is being used, while the stuff and environment both are somewhat for high and middle end buyers which is contrary to the flea market products.
Flea Market should be in a open space not in some hotels.
the place.
Where in Doha? Could somebody tell me the location in Doha so I could visit the place. Many thanks.
I don't understand this place. Why would anyone except a dog want to buy fleas :O(
