All,
I intend to travel to Dubai by road for the eid holiday, could you please tell me the requirements for me to travel and return without an issue?
I would like to know about the following:
1. The duration of the journey and the distance?
2. The visa requirements - do we need a Saudi visa as well? - can I get an on arrival visa because I have the designation?
3. Can I travel in a rented SUV or does the car have to be under my ownership?
4. How many border crossings are there and how long will it take?
5. What are the procedues at the immigration counters at the borders?
Looking forward to receive some updates from you...
Thanks.
Thank you very much Raj.. your comments have been very helpful :)

3. The car needs to be your own
4.Depends on peak times like EID it can take easily upto 2 Hrs per border. There are 2 borders one in Saudi and One in UAE.Non peak it can be as less as 15 mins,But there is a qatar exit and a saudi entry saudi exit and UAE entry.
