from Company to Husband Sponsorship

hello everyone! I was a local hire in this company back in dec.13,2009. I will be applying for a transfer of sponsorship soon. I badly needed to be transferred under husband's before returning back to my home country because I am planning to resign since I'll be staying in my home country for couple of months due to maternity and so when I return back here in Doha I can easily manage to look for another company. can you help me with the following queries?
1) if i will tender my resignation this nov.14 which will take effect on dec14 (after contract completed), will the company shoulder my ticket to my home country?
2) can i still get my gratuity even if the status is resignation?

tnx gene_lv, actually that thing with labor is already in my mind. i'm fed up with this chinese company! worst case, i might go there and give my complaints against them.

tinkerbell10, tnx too! yes i'll surely go home and give my whole attention to my little one soon but as of now i'm financially in bad shape, this mainly the reason why I couldn't still quit, 3 months salary still matters so I gotta keep working. :(

Go to the labor office if you won't give what you deserve.

A friend of mine was on a similar situation before. He was short changed and after receiving it, he went straight to the labor office instead of going home and voila, he got all that was due to him through the labor office which acted swiftly on his complaints.

Go to the labor office if you won't get you benefits.

tnx gene_lv!:) unfortunately, I am unlucky with this company, I have so many reasons why I came up with the plan of resigning, they dont follow qatar rules even if its clearly stated in the contract. but i will still try to negotiate no matter what!

As far as I'm aware, if u resign, the company does not provide a return ticket.

But, then again, it depends on what is specified in your contract. Suggest you check out your contract and then speak to HR.

Why do you want to resign, you may as well go on Maternity Leave (50 days), use your annual leave (30 days) for extension, go on loss of pay, if required. and then come back n resign.

You can travel with your baby, post 6-8 weeks after delivery, if the delivery is normal with no complications.

Check all options, before resigning...

All the best..

-Esther.

Yes you will get your benefits, in regards to ticket back home, it depends on the negotiation and the company policy because you will be transferred under your husband sponsorship.

You have to negotiate your tickets because in some companies, the moment you transfer, tickets will not be given to you.

However, good companies will provide you tickets as long as you completed your contractual negotiation. Check with your HR and if not, negotiate.
