Is it a breakout or a BREAKDOWN nation
By Good old joe •
The rupee has collapsed and become like waste paper, the stock market is falling, trains are being burnt, the submarines are catching fire and sinking in the harbour and nobody has a clue whats going on ..... has India moved from a breakout nation to a breakdown nation in just a few months?
well i know when the recessions were happening in the western countries, back in India specifically in IT companies there was a huge employment opportunities. now im talking about the same IT companies which were owned by the US. same applies for companies ran by European countries.
Most of the people are self employed or govt sector. So recession isn't affecting them much either.
About Inflation this is how it works: rise in price of commodity+increased demands = Increased salary
and yes its helping the expats, specially those who are working for low wages as they can send more money during their next pay to their families
so think again Gj

Recession can happen anywhere,,,,
It isn't that good for expats even though you have good exchange rates. Inflation will eat-up back in India.
Recessions never happen in India :p Even if it does then it never lasts longer....
It is off-course a breat-out nation and will over come its breakdown
HGL, Are waah :)
the negativity still got some good ray of hope for the indian expats in monetary terms... the currency rate is going high and its a good sign for them
That is the problem with people from countries not bigger than a part of a sector in Delhi who think the country is going down cos a house of 20X30sqft caught fire...:) India is not a corner grocery shop that it will come down just cos of a couple of incidents which happened over a couple of days. You may not see that happen in your this lifetime but hate towards it would sure bring you close to your end sooner than later (that is what the docs say). Sleep well and take care of yourself...India isnt going down just cos you or many of your kinds wish so 24x7.
Good news for Indians in the gulf, they can send more money home.
