ENGLISH REALLY HARD TO LEARN?

cutiepinky
By cutiepinky

We'll begin with "Box", the Plural is "Boxes"
But the Plural of "Ox" is "Oxen", not "Oxes".
one fowl is a "Goose" and two are called "Geese"
Yet the plural of "Moose" is never called "Meese".

You may find a lone "Mouse" or a house full of "Mice";
But the plural of "House" is "Houses", not "Hice".
The plural of "Man" is always "Men",
but the plural of "Pan" is never "Pen".

If I speak of a "Foot" and you show me two "Feet",
And i give you a "Book", would a pair be a "Beek"?
If one is a "Tooth" and whole set "Teeth".
Why shouldn't two "Booths" be called "Beeth"?

If the singular's "This" and the plural is "These"
Should the plural of "Kiss" be ever called "Keese"?

We speak of a "Brother" and also "Brethren"
But though we say "Mother", we never say "Methren".
Then the "Masculine" Prounouns are "He, His, and Him";
But imagine the "Feminine"......"She, Shis, and Shim"?

A Conversation between Mr. Watt and William Knott...*

"Who's calling?" was the answer to the telephone.

"Watt."

"What is your name, please?"

"Watt's my name."

"That's what I asked you. What's your name?"

"That's what I told you. Watt's my name."

A long pause, and then from Watt, "Is this James Brown?"

"No, this is Knott."

"Please tell me your name."

"Will Knott."*

"What'll it be?" asked the barman.

"A martinus," said Thelonius.

"Don't you mean martini?"

"If I wanted more than one I'd ask for more than one."

Flor, I totally disagree with you. Tagalog is a hard especially if we're going to follow the right grammar - Nouns (Pangngalan), Pronouns (Panghalip), Verbs (Pandiwa). It almost blow up my mind when I was studying. Also there are some deep words that I can't understand, I need to ask Mum or some elders about it. I love our Native language though :0)

That's why in my own opinion, English is easier. :)

Flor i disagree

Coz tagalong is not that easy to pronounce as we sees in letter for an example “ng” its pronunciation is different than in letter, but we can learn easily.

what you see is what you say, no silent letter, no hidden words! You pronounce it as you read it.

English is peace of cake.. i actually taught a few people from nothing to speaking well in 3 months !!

English is easy as nouns/adjectives can be used as verbs too.

I miscalled my friend.

I A+ed my exam.

She photoshoped the picture.

The film impacted us.

Many things factored into our decision.

They okayed it.

We greenlighted their request.

and so on and so for...
