As u have previous clinical exp in US,the chances of you getting accepted are more.If u scored well in USMLE step 2 then there is 90% chance that u will be accepted.Wish u all the best.

No written exams. They shortlist candidates by looking at many things of which USMLE scores is very important.Furthermore they give much preference to HMC interns and those who have worked earlier in HMC.So i strongly advise you to enroll in an attachment programme.

HMC is the only place in Qatar that provide Medical residency programmes. And sorry for replying so late as i was so busy and didn't open my QL account.

Thank you so much for the fast info Jamadori, i appreciate .. :) is there any written exam prerequisite exams to be qualified for the interviews or is it just getting short listed for interviews after application submission?! Are there any other hospitals offering medical residency or is it only the HMC ?!

details as mentioned by Jamadori but one more thing is that you must have completed MBBS in previous 2- 3 years or fresh .

If more than 3 years they may not accept you for residency

For Residency u just have to clear USMLE step 2 and score 90+.Step 1 and 3 aren't necessary.Regarding application date, they start receiving applications from May/June till October/November and all the documents can be submitted online through HMC website. If you are shortlisted then you will be called for an interview that will be held in Feb-March.And if you are selected in the interview then you can start your residency in June-July the same year.Anyways wish you best of luck!
