how to approach the OPD at the Women's Hospital (Doha) - pregnancy related.

My wife is 31 weeks pregnant and has been referred to the Women's hospital by our designated Health Center.

Yesterday (14.04.2013)we went there (Women's Hospital)for the first time and apparently approached the emergency dept (which we shouldnt have) where we were told to get a fax from the Health Center etc...eventually we realized that we should have gone to the OPD.
My questions to those who are or were in the same boat as me, are:
What is the best time to visit the OPD at the Women's Hospital?
What are the documents to be carried? (We have our Resident Permits/QID's in order and my wife's Health card in order)
Since my wife's file is already opened from the Health Center, will the same file be used at the Women's hospital or will they make a new one?
I know its still very early but should for some reason i need to rush my wife to the emergency at the Women's Hospital without even registering there or without the first appointment (i am told at times the first appointment date will be after the due-date) will they take care of her?
I know its a long query but hope you guys and ladies out there, understand.
Any other info will be appreciated.
Thank you.

I was delivered my first baby last month in Hamad Hospital.

When i was on my 35 weeks, the clinic referred me to go to Womens Hospital. First, I go direct to the receptionist, and they gave an appointment date and all the requirements need to submit: (You and your wife passport copy, copy of both visas or ID, marriage contract attested by your embassy.)Good Luck!

1. There is nothing like BEST TIME...You will always have to wait for LONG.

2. Marriage certificate copy, RP/ID copy of both, passport copy.

3. They will make a new file.

4. Better register yourself first in case you want to use HAMAD for delivery..As far as taking care of is concerned, i would not give an answer for it..When i was pregnant, HAMAD wasn't there in my list at all due to many reasons...Just use SEARCH button on QL and try to get information about it...I would keep mum..

Why don't you try to visit private clinics?? LIke AL AHLI(if you can afford) or DOHA CLINIC(which is not much expensive like AL AHLI).
