Treatment for puppy
My friend has a Griffon puppy which is suffering from Parvo virus infection... She already spend QAR 2000 for its treatment but will require more money to take care of it.. She bought it from Souq and is planning to return the puppy there as she cannot afford such an expensive treatment and the vet says a recovery cant be guaranteed in such cases, which is right.. I am sure no one will take care of her at Souq Hospital.. Please anyone there who can take care of this puppy! Please save Bonnie! She is adorable...
Bonnie is presently hospitalized at Qatar Veterinary Hospital. She is only 12 weeks old.
Please reach me at 70355388
Attached is the image of Bonnie.. Please someone save her.

Hi Oryx,
She was not aware of the situation at Souq and now she regrets buying a puppy from there. Please keep in mind that once she came to know about situation at souq, she decided not to opt for the clinic recommended by the "caretakers" there and went to this place.
All pet centers in Doha are notorious for overcharging Oryx.. She did call up one Vet yesterday at 830pm. And the response she got was timings are only till 8pm and an emergency appointment can be given at an additional cost of QAR 600, plus consultation fee of QAR 240.
We did do a math of the pet clinics in Doha and their tariff.. This place offered a compartively lower rate..
And Parvo is a serious issue and the souq animals are not given any proper care.. Even in the presence of so many animal shelters in the country, people are still buying from souq.. And none of the pet centers or so called animal shelters are making a serious effort to tackle the situation -- other than making a comment when someone raises the issue!
And yes she does have the responsibility! That is why she sold her iPad and iPhone for the treatment of her puppy.
And when you are preaching about making her "learn the consequences" you are forgetting the fact that there is a life struggling to come back to life. Thanks for not supporting that..
Hope Bonnie comes back active and healthy! And yes everyone of you just remain commenting about the Souq!
PS: All animal shelters and animal lovers association in the country was of no help to my friend. They just made the same comment as Oryx "oh she shouldnt have bought from souq"!
Sorry but the moral of the story is responsibility. Your friend chose to BUY and not adopt when there are plenty of animals looking for a home in Qatar. The souq is notorious for animals having parvo. She then takes it to a vet that is well known for overcharging. Your friend made the choice and she needs to learn the consequences of that. There are many homeless animals at 2nd Chance, QAWS, DID and CIQ that are deserving of public support. Your friend needs to shoulder her responsibilities.
A dog with parvo should NEVER be near any other dogs as it can infect them very easily. Yes recovery is not always guaranteed.
Pray that she recovers sooon.. I will update her condition in this thread...
Bonnie is at Veterinary Surgery Clinic Bin Mahmoud.. If anyone interested to help, please visit Bonnie... Her owner is too depressed now.. She got so attached to the puppy in the last ten days.. And yes Bonnie is adorable and very playful..
Thank you Humbles
ask my Boss's wife , she cares a lot about puppies.
And this is why you shouldn't buy animals from the souk. Sorry for your friend :(
Thanks Molten Melt...
Hope and pray that she recovers soon!
She is at the Veterinary Surgery clinic
