Hi everybody,I would appreciate if you can reply to my issue if you have serious replies.Thank you in advance.I got merried to a muslim (non-qatari)male and i gave birth outside Qatar. The reasons i decided this many...one of this to avoid violence, and to be drained financially from the father of my child unfortunately. The male was making fun of me big time...till everything were cleared when i found out the reason behind this behavior and mentality. It was then when i realized that this person has no luck to change no matter my trials. Now my only concern is my newborn baby.I need ur advice concerning the following.Shall i divorce in my country?Or come to Doha without the baby, register te baby (WHERE??i dont know) and then apply for the divorce and take the custody. In addition i dont plan to lie or to hide my baby. I will even pay for the baby to see his father.BUT he will stop putting in risk my baby's life and future withi his atittude against me. if you cannot reply a good lawyer would be a help also.thank you

My name is Ayesha Syed Rafiuddin. I urgently need a divorce from my husband. I am living in constant fear for my life. He has been threatening to kill me, and I believe he is capable of following through with these threats. My mental and emotional health have deteriorated due to his abusive behaviour. I am terrified for my safety and can no longer live under these circumstances. Please help me by processing my divorce as soon as possible. I need immediate legal protection to ensure my survival and well-being. This is an emergency, and I seek your prompt assistance. (my contact no. in Qatar: +97455781995)

A Lawyer will cost you too much but you will never get any better. You will have to submit all documents translated into Arabic + to be proved by concerned department.... My advice to you sister, try to solve things out peacefully, register the baby so that he would be able to know who is his father in the future so as not to blame you once he is grown, discuss things with the father and prove to him that you don t want anything from him n order to be encouraged to reply to your appeals. I am so sorry for you and the babe, and so sorry because you described him "Muslim". In Islam, husbands do not leave their wives for whatever reason, this guy will not be a real Muslim.

Good luck sister

Hi,

I can tell u what happened to me , I was married to an Egyptian back in London and we married by both Islam way and real world way (city hall) . We did the divorce here in Doha from the Islam marriage at the court in al rayyan , thing is my family visa got cancelled and he made me leave without the kids, coz for me has been impossible to find a job in my field but maybe i shall take another nationality ahahahahah oh well. I am back on visit visa now , and he is making it difficult for me to see the kids, been here 1 week and only saw them 3 times . even if the children are ITALIAN like me, with ITALIAN not Egyptian nationality, he managed to put a custody case here so I tell u as a sister, DO BE VERY CAREFUL , I don't know where ur husband is from but be careful coz here the man has more credit. We are now waiting for the divorce from the real world, coz he makes himself too comfortable being a muslim and divorced according to the Sharia law .

One thing i don't understand , where is the baby registered, under what nationality ? Send me a private message if you want more info, maybe we can arrange and meet . Wish you the very best luck .
