Did u like the food festival 2013
The food festival yesterday was pretty good . The new location, introduction of tokens for payment and the shuttle service were the highlights of the event. The weather added to the fun and the availability of swings and play areas made it easier for parents to distract their kids.
On the flip side i felt the variety in food was not as good as last time, the prices were higher and the portion sizes were smaller too.
What do u think?
The diet stalls on the right have cheaper water and soft drinks. Both were just 2 riyals compared to 5 riyals everywhere else
Well i used the shuttle service from Sharq village. Conveniently got on the bus and was dropped right in front of the main entrance and on the way back also it took just five to ten minutes for us to reach our car . There is no need to drive there.
The tokens were charged and that was ridicolous but that was better than paying cash as last time the stalls often didnt have enough change.
it is better last year. THIS YEAR- too much crowded, the place is very small, no parking space ( others can park while others are not allowed), expensive food( small bottle of water cost 5 riyals), not organized booth, limited tables and chairs. they are allowing kids to ride a bike inside the food area.vouchers minimu is 40 riyals but you have to pay it 50 riyals. too much vip room but when you go inside, it is empty.
It was my first time at food festival and I really enjoyed it. The food choices were limited but they were good, as for the cost I felt it was reasonable but m sure u wud know it better since u hv been there last time as well. We enjoyed our Mexican and Thai food and the local Arabic desserts...:) The best thing was the venue very nicely organised and having it in MIA park gets a thumbs up from me, it's a beautiful place, ample of space, kept my kid really happy :)
