Private clinic salary for GP so low!!!

Hello ,

The salary of a GP in private clinics is so low for the post of a doctor. How would a doctor with such a low salary live with a family? Really shocking.

Anybody to throw some light on this!!

well if thats the case, its their fault by accepting a low salary doctor.

I did not accept any job from any clinic.. Infact I m not a GP ... I was investigating for someone who is out of Qatar at the moment n I was surprised to find da salary of a GP

that is the reason why there is a salary offer. if they offer a low salary for your profession, then its up to you to accept. do not blame the company if they can only offer you a less salary compare to other hospitals and clinics. blame yourself because from the start, you know that the salary is low but you still accept it.

Once you are a Consultant in a specialized field of medicine then you can get more...General Practitioners don't get paid that much yet...but I agree with you that that private clinic's offer is very low. Some nurses get even more than that in some hospitals.

Jasim, doctors working in private clinics here in Qatar are not more than labours. They really work like a bonded, educated labours. In this forum only,u asked once about NOC from private clinics and I told u that u will not get NOC from any of these clinics. So,apart from low salary,u will be bonded with them and u have to either accept to work with them or leave the country for next two years. This is the situation here and the fact.Better, try some other countries.

If its with accommodation , it is o.k. But if its without accommodation then it is really very low and search for a job elsewhere if that's the case .

Whats so big deal about it jasim..

A qualified experienced engineer in Qatar private firm is getting around QR8,00 - 10,000 as the same level of engineers in companies like QP is getting QR50,000...

So, there is nothing so special about this disparity. Its common here whether a person is engineer or doctor..

Even widout specialization a doctor deserves more than the salary paid...

Seeing the present economical status and salary structures in present Qatar, a GP should surely be paid more

I am not comparing labour with a doctor... I m comparing a doctor with a doctor. My issue was if a doctor receives 20-25k per month in govt hospitals or wheresoever y is da same doctor paid half da salary in private clinics...

Labours work day n night and r paid low..and I am not overlooking that.. But that is a completely different issue from the one I m talking about..

Shwni: you should light up this to the authority or the labour dept.

I believe the doctors are getting enough salary to live moderately alongwith their families. On the other hand, an average poor labor lives thousands of miles away from his loved ones in a compact room alongwith some 10 to 12 other persons, hardly any space to breath deeply.... He works morning to sunset 6 days in a week and get peanuts in returns. Be grateful for what life is giving you!

Over 12 times more than the basic wage of people working 6 days outside in the hot weather?

If anyone should be complaining it shouldn't be the GP.

The package all together for a GP stands around

10000... Do u think dats decent enough for a doc???

Doctors surely get paid more than labours, but after all dos years of study n hard work dat doctors put in they shouldnt be paid so low...

If not Wat remains as a difference between labours n doctors ( no offense intended)

Doctors earn a lot more than laborers and maids who work much harder and longer hours.

How about the labors here (who is getting 600QR + )? Have you ever thought about them?

Better to be animal doctor rather than to treat human beings with such a low salary
