Prohibited Items to Doha

Hello everyone,
Are religious items not allowed in Doha? Basically, I want to ship the religious items and the relocation company says they are prohibited in Doha. For example, buddha. Thanks in advance.

They never looked at a single one.

Churches, yes, no problem for people of the book, however I can appreciate pprang's concern as Buddha could be seen as Idol worship which I believe is haram.

I think they are being overly cautious and sensitive. As people have said above, if you are just shipping a few things for personal use you should be ok.

The thing I was told to be aware of though was the fact that customs can take your CDs and DVDs to check for content, and they will charge you for the total time for them to view/listen to them all!

Good luck

If you are shipping via sea freight and are only shipping a reasonable personal amount, you will have no problem. Yes, there is one catholic church and several areas hold chruch services.

Do be discrete and do not import large quantities.
