If you could fix something what would that be

Hello,
I hope I post this at the right place this time.

We are from Cyprus and Greece (wife) and are planning to move to Qatar and looking for a job related to project management (for myself) and in English teaching (for my wife).
As far as I understand Qatar laws require us to be proactive otherwise we can depend our staying to the employer and maybe other issues.

An example that came to my attention is that if visa is not transferable, we are not allowed to change employer otherwise we must leave the country. Since we both look for a job can you see any arrangement that would support each-other's staying? Is there something we should not do? (like working to the same employer with no transferable visas)?

Are there any other issues that would limit our freedom there and we would regret if not do something about it in advance?

Warm regards,

Tryfonas

I agree with SLMAN, Its better for you to come alone here till you find a stable job. its kind a bit hard to survive here if both of you will come without a secure job, I mean you cannot leave the way you do in your country, I mean your lifestyle.

I faced the same problem. I took my wife under another company visa and faced some problems. Luckily I got a chance to change my wife's sponsorship.

My advice for you is, please you come alone here and settle your self.No need much time for it. Just til u find a job.once u get a job, since u planing for Project management job, you may get entitle for the Family visa status.(Salary wise and Profession wise) so u can sponsor your wife (So she will be under your sponsorship) So she will be free as a bird. any time can work not happy then she can change the job.

This will give you the happiness u looking.

BUT this family visa process is bit long. minimum will take 3-6 months. So til that u can bring your wife under 6 months visit visa if u really need her to be with u before 6 months.

Hope this will help you to decide.
