I'm a Brit, just arrived a few weeks ago, looking for somewhere to live (myself and the missus) - and am a little overwhelmed by having to look all over town by myself for somewhere suitable. Are there any good (professional or amateur!)agents out there who are very knowledgeable about Doha and the rental market, etc? We just got a flat after a lot of frustrating time spent in the company of agents who just cannot understand (or pretend not to understand) your requirements.

I'll PM you the contacts for the only 2 good, helpful and intelligent agents I encountered, after weeks of tedium.
