Dear Qatar Living guys, I am leaving Qatar fir good in few days time.

Thanks for everything.

One last question (hope so)

It is regarding to the Qatar ID which is in my possession now.

What am I going to do with it ?

1) leave it to the employer to do the cancellation ?

If they "forget" , how ?

2) I was told that I need to surrender to the immigration dept in airport when leaving , True ?

3) take it back home ? ( I dare not think along )

Please help to enlighten so that I can have a emcunbrance free departure.

Once again . thanks

Do not forget your passport. They wont allow you to leave Qatar without passport. If you have no financial commitments, criminal cases, unsettled accidents etc. there will be no problem.

raghu as you can see in Mr Brown question he already seems to have gotten the exit permit, has no loans nor pendig dues with qtel, kharamaa, banks or any other service in the country.

Mr Brown you are pretty much set to go. RP/Visa cancellation depends on the sponsor so let it be. Do you have any pending with traffic police?? settle it down before leaving.

Did you ever got the Booze license in QDC if your answer is yes then remember you have a cash deposit you could recover (provided you still have the receipt to cash it back)...if your answer is no; then disregard my previous comment.

Some people are asked for the police certificate or police clearance...do you need it? if so please do it before leaving!!

Best of luck!!!

This country will not part with you until your sponsor wishes to give you an exit....

I guess your question is about leaving for good. Leaving for good is a wise decision and all of us will have to make this decision sooner or latter. This is your sponsor’s responsibility to arrange cancellation of your visa and Qatar ID card.
