 With reference to the Job post on your website, I'd like to apply for the above position, Translator/ Editor. 

 

I have a Bachelor degree of English Language & Literature from the University of Qatar, and a Master’s degree in Sociology from the Prairie View A &M University, USA. In addition, I have a certificate in Medical Interpretation from the University of Massachusetts, USA to enable me to provide a better service to my clients.  

 

I have been in the translation & interpretation business for over 20 years providing language services from Arabic to English and vise versa as you may see in my attached resume. I spent around 17 years working as a part-time translator, subtitling in Ch.2 in Qatar TV as you may see in the attached CV.

In my current position as a freelance translator/ interpreter, I primarily utilize my educational qualifications, research, and vocabulary databanks. I edit & proofread documents after thorough examination.

Being an interpreter for the refugees in the United States has given me the ability to have a solid knowledge of various dialects across Arab speaking regions and cultures so I am capable of providing accurate information in all settings. Some refugees consider the interpreter being as a savior; for that one should act courteously and be responsible for the task done.

 

In addition, possessing the initiative to make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality of information to protect my client’s integrity. I have the ability to communicate with my coworkers professionally, efficiently and with a great team oriented attitude.

 

I have a passion to serve others as you may notice from my volunteering history. I have a very helpful personality and take pride in offering help, always with a smile.
