CAREER OBJECTIVE
To obtain a position in the field of Mechanical Engineering at an esteemed organization, wherein I can utilize my existing technical, problem solving, and inter-personal skills to benefit the organization and endeavor for self-growth by undertaking challenging, and diversified tasks.
WORK/TRAINING EXPERIENCE
Design Tech Systems, Pvt. Ltd.
• Project: “FE MODELING OF CRANK CASE”
Description: The project involved FE modeling of Crankcase. It was prepared for the Nastran profile using first order tetra elements global element size of 10mm to build the FE model. According to the specifications all the holes needed double washers. The required quality parameters were achieved using the shell elements to generate a good quality tetra mesh.
• Project: “FE MODELING OF BIW FLOOR ASSEMBLY”
Description: The project involved FE modeling of automobile floor assembly with first order shell elements. The BIW floor assembly was modeled with an element size of 12mm for crash analysis using LS-DYNA, and 15mm for NVH analysis using NASTRAN, satisfying the given quality criteria.
EDUCATION
Master of Engineering (CAD/CAM), Osmania University, Hyd. (Graduated 2013)
Project: “AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY AND SIMULATION OF RESISTANCE SPOT WELDING WITH RECTANGULAR ELECTRODE”
The project work characterized the nugget formation of spot welding for stainless steel sheets under different welding conditions with rectangular electrode, using numerical simulation and experimental testing. A 2D axisymmetric electro-thermo-mechanical finite element (FE) model was developed using ANSYS commercial software package to perform the simulations. Numerical simulations were used to:
• Precisely predict the weld geometry development.
• Obtain temperature field of resistance spot welding with rectangular electrode.
• Investigate shear tensile strength of the spot welded joint
Simulations and experimental testing were performed on two different thicknesses of stainless steel sheets under varying welding conditions. The numerical simulations’ results agreed well with the experimental testing results. The present work indicated that FE analysis can be very useful as an off-line observation tool to estimate the influence of welding parameters on the welding quality and improve the same.
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical),Osmania University, Hyd.(Graduated 2010)
Project: “DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE OF FUEL OIL HANDLING SYSTEM”
The project work encompassed design and manufacture of a Fuel Oil Handling System (FOHS). The FOHS includes the processes of filtering, heating, pumping, storage and transfer of fuel oil to the furnace/boiler. The FOHS is an essential and necessary part of a system that uses fuel oil as an energy source. The FOHS finds various applications in thermal power plants for the generation of electricity, in manufacturing industries for use in operations such as forging, casting, smelting, etc., for igniting of furnaces.
In this project the data necessary for design calculations was noted. The output data was generated using the data available that was obtained from the customers/standards.
During the project the following processes were utilized for manufacturing the FOHS: (1) Metal cutting (using gas cutting, power hacksaw, drop wheel, etc.), (2) Metal welding (mainly SMAW and TIG), (3) Rolling, (4) Drilling, (5) Lathe machining, and (6) Fitting.
