RIGGING SUPERVISOR

location: Ras Laffan

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical diploma or certifications in rigging are a plus).
• Certification in rigging or lifting operations is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in rigging operations and maintenance in the oil and gas industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Hands-on experience in supervising rigging teams, particularly for operational and maintenance activities in offshore or onshore environments.
• Strong understanding of crane operations, load calculations, and lifting plans specific to oil and gas projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage all rigging operations for lifting, moving, and installing heavy equipment and machinery on-site.
• Oversee rigging and maintenance activities on oil and gas equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.
• Develop, implement, and monitor rigging procedures and lifting plans for all projects.
• Inspect rigging equipment and machinery regularly, ensuring proper maintenance and safety compliance.
• Ensure effective coordination between rigging crews, maintenance teams, and other site personnel to maintain smooth operations.
• Plan, allocate resources, and schedule rigging and maintenance work to ensure projects stay on track.
• Manage and train rigging teams on safe practices, procedures, and equipment handling.
• Perform risk assessments and prepare safety documentation related to rigging activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement QA/QC plans and procedures for civil engineering projects.
• Conduct inspections and audits of construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout the construction process.
• Review and approve materials and equipment used in construction to ensure they meet required specifications.
• Identify and resolve any quality issues or non-conformance related to construction processes.
• Monitor and report on project progress, identifying areas for improvement in terms of quality and compliance.
• Ensure proper documentation of all inspections, tests, and certifications.
• Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and the project team on quality standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to establish and meet project goals and deadlines while maintaining quality.
