LEAD FABRICATOR

• • Location: Ras Laffan

     

    Qualifications:

    • Diploma or Relevant certifications in technical degree or certifications in fabrication, welding, or mechanical engineering is preferred.
    • 6+ years of experience in fabrication within the oil and gas industry, including substantial experience in both operational and maintenance environments.
    • Proven experience leading fabrication teams on large-scale oil and gas projects.
    • Extensive knowledge of welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques for oil and gas structures and equipment.
    • Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWS, NACE).
    • Experience with the use of fabrication machinery and tools, including CNC machines, welding machines, and metalworking tools.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and lead a team of fabricators in the execution of fabrication works for oil and gas operations and maintenance.
    • Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure the correct fabrication of structures and components.
    • Ensure the quality of work meets all required specifications, codes, and industry standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWS).
    • Plan and schedule fabrication activities to align with project timelines and operational needs.
    • Oversee the safe and efficient use of fabrication tools, machinery, and materials.
    • Monitor and manage resources (labor, materials, and equipment) to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
    • Conduct regular quality inspections and assessments on completed fabrications to verify conformance to specifications.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures on fabrication sites, including HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) protocols.
