Description
- Good knowledge of developing, implementing, and managing quality, risk, health, safety, and environmental management systems ideally within a large dispersed portfolio.
- Full compliance with international standards and standards applicable in the state of Qatar related to building maintenance (For example ISO 45001) and symbols (for example NFPA).
- Experienced in Inspected and audited quality management systems.
- Experience of delivering QHSE training to staff & suppliers.
- Advising and instructing on various safety-related topics.
- Conducting risk assessment and enforcing preventative measures.
- Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
- Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
- When a workplace accident occurs, conducts an investigation to determine why the accident happened.
- Assist in emergency management and contingency planning.
- Respond to medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms, following emergency response procedures.
- Identify, investigate, or resolve security breaches.
- Should assist site supervisor as per site requirement.
- Perform any duties and responsibilities that are within the scope of employment, as assign by HOD.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Degree in health & safety or security management or other similar discipline with industry specific qualifications evident (NEBOSH Diploma etc.)
- At least minimum of 6 years’ experience of managing comparable QHSE operations / departments in GCC region.
- Can speak, read and write English and Arabic.
- Must have IOSH, NEBOSH and other related certificates.
- Must have Driving License in Qatar.
