You are caught between a rock and a hard place.

It would be advisable to wait till all your dues are in your account. Once you leave, it will be harder to chase up if anything goes wrong

We need to build relationships , when you offer a glass of cold water, the person in the front will definitely soften his stance and will be ready to change his attitude due to cold water intake ........ It's tried & tested method and what's the harm if his boss will still refuse ........ we should try 2nd time for the afternoon snacks ............ One surely gets boss's yes with 3rd private meeting ............ first was for ground preparation, 2nd for nurturing 3rd for picking the fruit ....... a human heart will melt 100 % with the third attempt ............ ..................

Nitin: I am a practical man who lives in real world where there are real problems in real situations which need to be handled in the real way with real people. As suggested earlier, first, take the assistance of Human Rights Committee and if they are unable to help you out, then approach the Labour Office. They will help you out and you may be able to leave within a week. As for taking your boss out to dinner, all I can say is that it is indeed funny. I enjoyed reading it. Ha! Ha! Ha!. I am still laughing!

MM, It's wonderful indeed. Excellent comment I 've ever read on QL. It has to come form MM's side. If I am at Nitin's place I would follow MM's advise. Amazingly secured both places @ work n home. I salute u MM.

Nitin my pal, I understand & have compassion .......... if possible let your beloved take close relatives support during this period of child birth ....... this will give her new strength on being brave even when you are not around. Let her practice it for the long future. Avoid centering all life situations around yourself only . Prayers are keeping us bold enough for every new day.

On the job side , stay relaxed for one week & observe , do your task as normal, don't speak out to your colleagues about your family situation. Give smiles to your dear boss more often than ever before .... my inner voice says you will benefit in many ways ........ Cheers at hearing about the bundle of joys is on the way ......... !!!

Acchabacha i have read my contract and it says that both parties can give each other a notice of 1 month. I feel if it gets really tough il approach human rights committee.

Thanks for your advise.

Thank you so much Molten metal for replying but in my case my MD is my reporting boss. He is adamant and that is why i had to seek advise. There are lots of problem in this company. Its been 3 months my staff have not received salary. The company is not providing all the materials on time. If this prolongs il have to leave only after 3 months. My wife's delivery date is by 15th of next month. That is why im worried.

Nitin, Remember, Not everybody has time , money & energy to face tough challenges after resigning when there will be no salary at the end of the month .........

Some people believe and live in a philosophical world. On the ground it's realities and not philosophies that work. Suggest, you first read your contract thoroughly. If the contract allows you to leave the company by giving the required notice period, then you can leave and the company cannot force you to continue. If however, they still insist that you continue, you may take the assistance of the Human Rights Committee and then the Labour Office. They will help you out.

Nitin, This very common, relations get soured while one plans to leave, with wisdom you will be able to win in this situation. Call your boss for dinner this coming Thursday eve ...... you will see positive outcome ......... remember me when you succeed ...............
