IKEA Doha opening confirmed

IKEA Doha opening confirmed

IKEA Doha has told Doha News that it will open its doors to the general public on the morning of March 11th.
The news follows the invitation via email of hundreds of families in Qatar to a “family day” trial run at the store next week.
Invites for the event seem to have been sent to people who had registered to take part in an earlier trial day, which was cancelled at short notice last month, apparently due to issues with Civil Defence clearance.
Those inspection delays led to a postponement of the planned January 30th opening date, which was in itself a delay - IKEA Doha had originally hoped to open its doors in December last year.
IKEA is located on Al Shamal Road just north of Doha and is the anchor tenant of the upcoming Doha Festival City project.
Are you excited about the opening?

Along with buying 2 new Ford Rapture's, Rizks has already booked a place for his tea stall in the car park. So, with every booking of Rizks transportation, people will be treated to free paratha and karak chai :o)

You may try beating that by using your PINK KIA :o)

It's just a self assembly flat pack furniture manufacturer with reasonable prices. But when it finally opens next month it will be a giant leap for Qatar in terms of retail furniture. But more importantly for me, there is a psychological side effect that makes me feel like Qatar if truly moving forward.

Plus there is a load of stuff I have been holding off buying until they open, so I can't wait.
