Complaints

I do not understand, why people constantly complain about life in Qatar, but no one goes home. The first day I feel as many do, I will pack my bag and go home. As simple as that.. I mean I live in Doha six months now and all I hear is complaints.. People go home why do you live somewhere you do not like it. It's not as bad as everyone says but it has become a trend among people so they complain.
What do you think?

They complain about everything .. The heat, driving, poor nightlife, prices for food, rent, everything .. When I said that those who find it so bad to go home I meant the ones who can go home. Those who have high salaries and and coms from Europe or the U.S.!

Many people complain about how hard it is to make friends with Qatari people but no one even tries, and most off them have such a position that they are somehow better.

So if I were Qatari, I would not want to have these kinds of friends. I mean we are guests here and many of us not even have respect for local laws... Respect and understanding...

I think it depends on the hardships they're complaining about. Is it the driving? If it's the driving than complain on. Is it the lack of children in car seats and seat belts. Again, complain away. Is it the god awful newspapers or QBS. Again, please complain (they won't improve if you don't). Is it things like schools, bad customer service, etc. Again, valid things to complain about.

You are right. People should speak up for issues and voice valid complaints.

I think the OP was referring to people who constantly whine about hardships, yet stay on.

No place is perfect and some complaints are legit ones. Why would you expect people to keep their mouth shut in the face of obvious issues.

I agree with sakib12345.... it's a sacrifice most of these people are taking on behalf of their personal interests....

Qatar is good for earning but not good for living, so many just sacrifice their way of livings just for the sake of money :|

with OP and khattak!!

I find life for them in Qatar very hard who complain about every other single thing.

I hate it when people say "this is Doha/Qatar" when certain things do not go the way the want/wish..

I just wonder if those people who go 'home' won't complain about 'home' at home. Obviously no place is perfect. Imagine, someone has chosen Qatar as his 'home'. Why shouldn't he criticize his 'home'?

Ken Lee...Agree, for some...its recession back home & for others...it may be law & order situation. But if they have a reason for living here, why dont they stop this non stop whining?

I really feel sorry for those. I wonder what really is stopping them to leave.

Okie...I've my complaints but no place is perfect. The day, life become 'that' miserble for me, I'll waste no time to pack up.

The recession situation in their home countries not allowing them to go home, this also depend where they came from, life in Qatar can not compared to the life in developed or developing countries.
