To be honest, I don't know your situation, but I am a little confused.

Your husband is working here. You have a chance to come and live with him, yet you are worrying more about the financial aspects..

CNA_Q employs Canadians who are qualified teachers.

What you should do is come under your husband's sponsorship so you can change jobs later.

Also your husband's work contract should provide for the education of your children. If not negotiate the school fees in with your salary package.

Try tes.co.uk also look in to doing a PGCE if you stay in the UK or check out Open Uni distance learning PGCE

have you tried CNA-Q? they don't have the highest salaries in Qatar but I think you can easily get a much better offer than 5000 QR.

try contacting the HR manager and see if they have any openings, you aren't going to lose anything:

Interesting. It depends on your decision. You should consider that the job offered is a teacher in a Nursery and I dont think they will offer you a bigger salary. If you are coming under your husband's Sponsorhip then it will better to come here and hunt a suitable job with a higher salary acording to your qualification and experience.

Get you priorities right.... MONEY/FAMILY/JOB SATISFACTION.

Try listing the above 3 items in order of your priorities and you will soon find the answer to your question.

I think it all depends on how much your husband is getting. I was there before with my husband (no kids), my salary is QAR 3500, which is cheaper than what was offered to you. Honestly, it is just enough because my husband is getting like QRS 6000 only. we're both paying room rental of 1500(total), and he is paying for some credit cards and loans of like QRS 3000. Obviously we do not live a luxurious life. But we survived. But when the baby arrived, that was the time that I "think twice". Having a maid is not so easy. You also have to rent a whole house and not a room. If you and your husband will have a sum/total salary of QRS 15000-20000, then it will be ok. Plus you will have your kids with you too and the housemaid, so it will add up to your expenses.

If you will come to Doha as a husband sponsor, you will have lots of opportunities to choose from.

Take time in making this big decision. Consider all possibilities and consequences.

Goodluck!

Ciao.

'WHOLEMAID IDEA'give it a try and you 'll love it.

I know where you coming from but with my experience family should be togather specially when kids are growing up,you both (parents)will miss it later.

Once you'll be there you can always look around for better options and you will have some contacts by that time too .

hi,

agreed with Flexicode...come here...as teacher , if u r getting 5000 plus ticket then it is really good...come here, live with ur husband and children and enjoy life dear, its too short to live..5000 is not as much as u think...Yes offcourse u cannot live a LUXURIOUS life in it but very good, economical and respectable life... Ask ur hubby to apply for visas....

Gud luck ! :)))

Hi!

Sorry for taking a backdoor to this ongoing post sequence :).

I think, it is better idea to come to Qatar on your husbands sponsorship. In other words your husband could look for a family RP which of course will include your children. The advantage of doing that will be...

1 You will get to stay with your husband as a normal family.

2 You will be in a better position to negotiate. For employer it is almost always a plus to find someone available locally.

3 You can continue to remain in your husband's sponsorship still be employed somewhere. Some employers prefer that, they don't have to take the burden of providing accommodation, yearly ticket etc. What they save might reflect in you pay packet.

And yes...you can continue to stay and work here as long as your husband is employed.

good luck

why dont you try to apply for a different job , i dont know what other skills you have ..

but you still have an option in case you just see it urgent to come here and be with your husband,

as long your husband live and work here .. you will be under his sponsorship , and pay attention for this matter . only come to qatar under your husband sponsorship .

start any work , and search for something else and when u find just move easily as long your under husband sponsorship .

Firstly....both caps lock and enter buttons have back to life!!!

The thing is i get paid just a little less as a Teaching Assistant here in the uk,and i also have two children who would travel there with me so 5000QR seems less.

They have just called and said they will reconsider their initial contract offer but im still not sure what to do?

I am an undergraduate who has a degree in English lit and Lang but still find it diffocult to find work out in Qatar, i have 5 years of experience within a school environment. If anyone can help, please msg me....

The offer is not reasonable but private schools don't pay much here. One reason for the crap standards of education around here.

I am guessing you told the guys at the nursery that your husband lives here, salary drops dramatically after that but it's up to you to decide, you want to be with your husband or not.

P.S- Has Caps lock button died too?? Turn it off if you can :o)

in my personal opinion why don't you come and try it...it is reasonable in a sense that you will be with your husband and you are getting a salary here, 5000 is not so low..hm that was only my opinion:)

take care good luck
