Go to Labour Court and file a case.

That is the only way to put pressure on your company....nothing else will....neither will your strike!

Lol. so true anonyalkult. besides things tend to fall off Aussie planes these days. i prefer emirates! but i think in general most people support those strikes because they are not planned without serious discussion and only as a last resort.

Anonyalkult, in my country its legal and the pilots do go on strike during vacation time as its most effective.....

That is the reason why you dont book ticket in Australian airlines, rather Qatar Airways, if there is any possibility. Isnt so?

it ain't illegal , you can go on strike , but you should have the right reasons and it should be a friendly one...

during the strike , the'll call labor department folks , and then you'll have what u want on the spot ,your manager will come and will have written agreement signed by all parties , and the labor department as witness that he'll give you all your benefits!!!

It is illegal anywhere. Just imagine if the pilots are on strike when you want to go on vacation, whatever be the reason. Just imagine the police men are on strike when you go to complain if some one thrashes you, whatever be the reason. Just imagine the doctors are on strike when you take your son critically ill to the hospital. Yes, whatever be the reason. The rights of the society comes far ahead of that of the individual.

A stike by one person isn't usually very effective (and it's illegal anywhere, that's why it's called "collective bargaining.") Talk to your fellow teachers and see what the procedure is for you.
