Damn it, I thought I was the only one who was an IT fanatic, I felt so lonely that I said the hell with it and continued for diploma in another field.

Yeah, Qatar foundation has got pretty equipment but bad staff, heard about the first state of the art fully technology-operated hospital here in Qatar?

Beleive it or not, OIl and Gas companies have state of the art IT systems to run their operations...Many years ago, I worked for Brown & Root in Aberdeen :O)

And couldn't agree more..despite all their wealth,it's astounding how underdeveloped most of the ME remains. Then again it's hardly surprising considering all the corruption, oppression and crimes that prevail..happily though awareness is creeping in which will hopefully bring about improvements.

The middle east has the capacity to be one of the most developed areas.

But well corruption prevails, I guess we really need democracy same as Europe.

If you look at the western oil companies extracting oil there, you will know where the money goes.

BP, ExxonMobil, Statoil and Chaveron are a few who play there big time. Whatever AIOC gets its distributed amongst the corrupt politicians.
