There were TWO fires in Qatar today
By shabina921 •
Hi everyone, there appears to be some confusion about fires in Qatar today (Wednesday, April 4).
Just to clarify - the first fire was at Sidra Medical and Research Center near Qatar Foundation. It took place in the underground car park and took several hours to extinguish.

Then, later in the day, at Villaggio mall, the A/C malfunctioned at Topshop/Topman, and everyone was evacuated as a precaution. Then people were allowed back inside.

Morning guys, gays n beautiful chicks ,,,, smokie did u ever visit these fire occurred places last night?
Not yet Rizks lets wait for Gulf times tomorrow to know more :P
longest boom of the day !
...
smoke, i just farted - did you felt anything ? :(
Qatar is such a small place that if I fart in West Bay people would think Hurricane Qatarina was coming and panic :P
As per media report nobody got injured or harm, btw we should appreciate the fire fighters n cops were activated in very quick session.
Well we have to talk about something Ben
I don't think that two fires in the whole country on one day causes any concern for panic.
The difference here is that pretty much every fire seams to get reported. Even if a bin is on fire its on here with people saying 'oh no, not another fire in Qatar, what is going on'
Most of us are used to only hearing about very big or fatal fires reported in the news in our home countries.
Cheers Khanan

I listened to the radio yesterday evening and there was no report of either fire. I wonder if there will be anything in the papers today? Doha News rocks!
Shabina ...
Thanks for clearing it up :)
You are wrong on the date, Wednesday 3rd April, not 4th!
Accidents can happen anywhere. It dont means that place is not safe to live.
OMG, Is Qatar safe to live anymore? lol
Catholic cardinals should take lessons from Doha about how to get proper plumes of black and white smoke.
Thanks for the info and advertising Doha News :o)
Yes, I also saw it. I think its due to some leakage in Gas pipe.
