Roads

Guys I've been here in Qatar for more than 20yrs. In fact I'm juss 23. So I've seen qatar growing with me. Really I want to point out here regarding the conditions of the road. I mean if at all these ppl destroy good roads to put in pipe lines or cables etc why are they not able to finish it in the proper way. Always rough surface, holes in between the road. I mean I can understand this situation if its India, 50% of the money that is issued is with the Minsiters pocket and another 25% to the contractors and then the remaining 25% it takes to build anything in India. That’s the fact and no one can deny it. Well is it happening here also? I mean I still don’t know the reason why the roads are in so bad shape. For eg:
Industrial Area(it’s a nightmare to drive there) the Al atiyah road on the commercial Area was so damaged that they repaired it and belive me in another weeks time all the material they filled got eroded. Thank god its fine now.
Similar is the case in a service lane opp to Mamoura complex towards IIS. It’s in the same situation. Firstly theydug it and left it open for ages I celebrated two birthdays meanwhile the road got repaired. And now still it is not levelled.
Also the wakrah road to Airport signal. That’s one more example. There are many to go.
I understand the no. of cars have increased, it does affect the road but surely not so much. Govt needs to really do somethin abt it pretty soon.

It doesn't help that there are 4 schools within the same vicinity, and all apparently starting at the same time in the morning. Also the great number of new housing going up on either side of the road. They really need police attention there until the new road is completed.

That road is very dangerous. No divider. and traffic is full on that, I by pass that road to my office so dont know abt it much. But you better drive carefully there.

I have to drive my kids on Abu Hamour rd every day and I swear it is the most dangerous road in town. With all the money, what is so difficult about hiring around the clock teams to get these roads taken care of? The Asian Games were over 5 months ago, no more excuses.
