Qatar Day is only for Qataries!

While everybody is celebrating this national day, there are still some companies not joining in the festivities. Having been transfered from Dubai, Qatar can't be controlled by there leader. In Dubai, whenever the leader anounces that it will be a holiday tomorrow, all companies should comply with this or else the company will be fined. While our sponsor is celebrating this wonderful day, we the staffs are still working and we are not even compensated. We are working 365 days a year including Eid, sponsors like this are too much greedy for money. Sorry but I can't continue further, I have to work...

Qatar day is sor sure for Qataries. Isnt it the same with every country's national days?

Its a different matter if the concerned companies didnt give a holiday. Mostly it will not have to do anything with the sponsor, its generally the management.

But I think if you are working in a FMCG retail business I doubt whether you get leave anywhere.

Anteeca, in Qatar, National Day is a compulsory free day only for Government employees.
