King of Kebabs !

Its Lunch time, and i just came across this topic...:(
Now, any brave and humble soul out there ready to take me for this Kebabs ? :(

------------------------------------------------

London (IANS) - A chef in Britain has created the world's most expensive kebab - aptly titled King of Kebabs - and costs a whopping 750 pounds, a media report said.

The dish has moved on from being a humble doner to include saffron-infused flat bread, milk-fed lamb from the Pyrenees and even edible gold, The Sun reported Thursday.

The kebab uses gold leaf for a finishing flourish and champagne-infused mint and cucumber yoghurt completes the luxury, it said.

Chef Andy Bates created the kebab to mark the launch of The Great Food Truck Race TV show, celebrating street food.

Andy said: "It took a fair bit of time to source the best possible ingredients to ensure that this kebab was the most exclusive one out there but I loved every minute."

I am thinking of Kebab rolls from "Hot and Spicy" restaurant in Karachi at Khadda market.. Gola kabab at Burns Road.. Bun Kabab at Dhoraji and also at New Town.. Maal Pura at Kharadar.. Karachi Haleem and Biryani at Federal B area.. East or West, there is no place like Karachi when it comes to food.. And yes gola gannda at Dhoraji..

If you are two then I would suggest you order half a dozen seekh kababs, 1 karahi chicken, 1 brain khatakat and 6 naans.. You can have half of all that and take away the rest for next day..

By Kareena74• 5 Jun 2011 13:58
Kareena74

Do you mean dine or die? If its dining and wining, I am fine with it.. But if it is die, then please count me out.. I don't want to die so soon. There is a lot that I have not done or seen in this world..

By stealth• 5 Jun 2011 13:57

Rizks why do you want to die at Shezan with Kareena? Leave Shezan alone.

"Rizks said

Kareena why not we both go and die at Shezan today evening ? Err...i mean how about a candle light dinner at Shezan ? :)"

Is the Kabab getting onto you?

By Kareena74• 5 Jun 2011 13:54

It used to be pretty cheap back then but since last few years they have almost doubled the price.. The kebabs used to be 1.50 per pc but now it I believe it is 3.50 per pec. The Karahi chicken used to be 25 riyals for 1 full chicken karahi but now it is 45.. The naan used to be 1 riyals but now it is 3 riyals.. It costs around 35 to 40 riyals per head but it is worth it for sure..

so ur 30 Yrs old ?

Hmmm...ok i am planning to go there today evening Kareena, can u plz let me know wat to order ?

Shezan is my favorite restaurant in Qatar.. The food is a bit on the unhealthy high cholestrol side so I don't go there more than once in 4 to 6 weeks but it is really a place to try for all of you out there who have not been there yet.. Do ask me what to order before you go.. I have been going there last 30 years..

If they would be halal but then I doubt it since it is soaked in champagne so I don't think the meat would be halal in any case..

Turkish Central has amazing kebabs but the best ones in Qatar can be found at the Pakistani restaurant opposite Al Ahli bank, Shezan.. Try their kebabs, their karahi chicken, chicken tikka, brain khatakat.. absolutely scrumptious..And their naans are to die for..
