mr.s,,,, i advised you before going to take picture try to put makeup fully on your face.that can avoid your dark skin colour and if u can put high voltage light it can make you more brighter,
If you know photoshop, take a normal photo of yourself and photoshop it. There are several youtube videos you can use to teach yourself how to do it. Taking a photo like that in reality requires knowledge and experience more than an amateur posses. As DK said above it is not easy to keep the other side of the face completely dark because of the reflection from whatever surface you light falls on.Who knows, the photo you want to emulate itself is photoshopped :P
Do as khalid says but you need to put a non-reflecting ( black ) screen on the other side so that there is absolutely no reflection of light from the right side.

stay in a dark room with lights off and from one left put a light on ur face may be a torch or a white light and teke a pic.......may be u need two more people to help u ..............first who will put the light and second who shall take ur pic.................................

Take picture in light, make 2 copies of it (on computer), make one copy black then select the half side, copy it then paste it on the bright copy :-)
