home makeovers.... why you need a designer

Moving into a new home or renovating an old one. For your interiors, you would normally go about town selecting furniture, furnishing and accessories - things you fell in love with and simply had to have - for the salon, the dining area, the bedrooms, the kitchen, the study, the office ...etc. Many times once everything has arrived and sitting in your home, something just doesn't feel right. You haven't achieved your comfort zone. This is not how you envisaged things to look or feel. The colours aren't what they appeared to be in the shop and just don't match with the other bits and pieces. The scale of some pieces in proportion to the room is simply wrong. The lighting doesn't complement the colour scheme. Time passes and you find yourself sitting and looking with unease at the items you just spent a fortune purchasing and wished you had invested a bit more time in the design plan before taking the jump.
