A Heart Touching Experience

I remember when I was in Canada for study before leaving Canada I had few money left and which barely I can use for taxi and airport customs, the money I had was 88 Canadian dollars and my wanted me to buy something for her and my mom was not aware that I was short of money, so I went and looked for the thing which my mom want and it was 55 to 58 Canadian dollars, I decided to buy it and manage later on by taking some money from a friend and returning it later to him, I bought the thing for my mom before going to the airport by 5 hours and after I bought I went to my flat with 33 canadian dollars cash which are not enough for taxi and airport customs, once I opened the door of the flat the telephone rang and my fiend on the phone told me hey dude no need for taxi our friends will pick you to the airport, and they came after half an hour and took me to the airport and I paid 15 Canadian dollars for airport taxes.
The Taxi was going to charge between 40 to 50 Canadian dollars.

Because most Canadians are quite friendly.

Because I met some Canadians who are very friendly and some no.

Sounds pretty typical for Canadians.

ok

He thought there are fees at the airport and he kept 15-20 Dollars for that and it appeared there are no fees when he arrived the airport.

Nic give him a break. This time you are very offensive and I will copy/paste : "Straight arrow,

yeah, you confirmed it! The naiveté and lack of life experience are obvious features of yours! "

a Lie is when you know when something is suer and you deny it.

I also posted this in one of the threads and I repeated as a new topic so that it can remind us of doing good things.

Also the good and bad is found every where it and it is a matter of percentage and proportion.

FS,

Why did he have to come here and lie (no taxes at airport for foreigners departing Canada) or as Snessy spotted, copied this story from somebody else and claimed it was his!

I even doubt he had completed any significant studies in Canada. He just doesn’t sound substantial enough.

Anyway, I am out of here!

;)

As far as I remember I kept some money around 15 to 20 Canadian dollars in case there was going to airport taxes, and thanks for correcting me that there no taxes on foreigniers in the air port.

Pleas tell me what benefit did you gain when you said "The naiveté and lack of life experience are obvious features of yours!"?

By Nic• 9 Feb 2010 06:47
Nic

Straight arrow,

yeah, you confirmed it! The naiveté and lack of life experience are obvious features of yours!

Either you are lying because there is no Canadian tax for foreigners when you leave Canada or as Snessy said, you are copy-paste again!

God knows for what reason you are doing this, as it’s far from being a powerful story with any strong message)

Are you sure you did any significant studies in any Canadian institution?!

You sure come across as an individual with limited general knowledge!

If you do good things it will always pay specially if you do it to your father and mother.

Always doing good things will pay.

If you help some one today tomorrow others will help you.

Nic if every one manages the budget well there will not be so much poverty.

I was having two big Suit cases and it was difficult to take them by bus.

god bless you (as some like to say), keep your religion private and you'll never get into trouble!

Oh by the way, nothing important but next time consider learning how to manage your budget.

There is a bus from down town Montreal to the airport.

Don’t really understand (and don’t care) where you got this tax charge as the Canadian customs don’t charge foreigners any tax, they even return the GST to foreigners, at the airport.

So you could have made a few extra dollars from at least the gift you bought your mother.

I sense a bit of naiveté or lack of life experience from your side, but maybe it’s just my impression.

you take things personally.

I reached this conclusion from your replies.

You know Nic the people who take things personally never succeed in most of the time in their life.

Is this true that if you guys take things personally at work or life will cause more problems?

By Nic• 8 Feb 2010 14:21
Nic

lol... tell that to yourself. i grew up in a society where religion is kept private. How come you didn’t learn that in Montreal? Judging by how I read you here in QL, I am sure you didn’t stay in Montreal long enough!

An open minded religious can go and study outside and have western friends, on the other hand a close minded religious man can not go and study outside, and if this close minded go and study outside he will not have as many friends as the open minded one.

Religion is not a barier Nic, Relgion helps me to live and share thoughts with others according to my beliefs.

Nic please never think that religion is a barrier.

It is very basic Nic, if people respect each other thoughts and beliefs there will never ever be any problems.

As if the ethnic background and religion would make any difference!!!!

In Montreal you and your friends are human beings first of all (not like here, where you have a class society divided in so many criterias, race, religion, status, etc...)

I am sorry to disappoint you.

In Canada specially in Montreal it is a mixture of people, so if a Qatari wants to go and study abroad I would tell him to go to Montreal because there are good universities and learning institutes.
