Finally getting to Doha

I will finally be getting to Doah on Saturday evening. After spending the last 2 months on here reading up on what everyone has to say about Doha, I can see for myself. If anyone feels like helping the stoopid american newcomer get a feel for the area on Sunday I would love to find a tour guide to get the lay of the land. As for Saturday night where would be the best place for a cold beer after 27 hours of travel?

You are spoiled for choice. Personally I like Paloma at the InterContinental. Really nice with good music and a band but pricey. Or if you want somewhere quiet, the Piano Bar at the Movenpick is nice. Otherwise, all the major hotels have bars which cater to a variety of tastes.
