A quote from todays Gulf Times:

"Having such a famous name from the world of pop music perform in Doha bodes well for the future of live music here,"

Er......no it doesn't!

My sister had an amazing night at the concert, she thought it was good. The concert's not that bad, contrary to everyone's opinion. Have to admit that Enrique looks kinda good, my masculinity still intact.

The concert was a total rip off he was on stage for less than one hour!

Alot of people left the concert dissapointed they paid 500 riyals for the ticket and got him singing a few songs, he didnt even sing his number 1 single HERO. Def one the worst concerts I've seen!!

Enrique has had more number one songs than the beatles, that was also stated in the artical!!! what the hell is worng with u guys!!! it was something new 4 qatar, step in the right direction and all u can do is pull it apart cuz he not ur taste!!!! well there were 2500 happy people there whos taste he did appeal to!!! if u dont like something, just leave it! maybe next time they will bring someone u like, each to his own! u guys always complain that there is nothing in qatar, its no good here, nothing to do. well they starting things now and instead of being happy bout it u just wana pull it down!!! maybe they will just think, well we cant please all the people at once so why the hell should we bother trying!!!!! stop wingging about what u dont like and hope for something u do!

In the world of Qatari journalism, where the sun always shines and all the bogeymen of crimes being committed and police brutality against Asian workers have been eliminated, it does bode well. For there you can say whatever you like as long as it's "nice".

I read in Gulf Times a week ago, in one of the travel articles, that "Doha must be one of the most amazing cities in the entire world".

Yep. Absolutely. My thoughts exactly.

Well suggest a name that would go down well. Doha can haved big names but only if the public suggest.....seriously, it is up to QL to start the ball rolling.

Someone needs to alert the press that there are bigger and more current names from the world of pop music that would bring in bigger riyals; thus, establishing Doha a secure destination in the concert circut.

Was it a decent concert?
