Doha Bank ATM problem
Last night, i went to Doha Bank ATM near debenhams to withdraw my hard earned money. Unfortunately after i input the amount suddenly there is a message on the screen that my transaction is canceled. No money was dispensed. And i entered again my ATM card and made a balance inquiry, again the transaction was canceled and for the 3rd time, again another balance inquiry, to my dismay, my account was debited.
Does anybody here has the same problem.
I already called the customer service and inform my branch.

The Doha Bank ATM machine at Lulu Hypermarket in Al Khor took my 2000QR (4 nos. - 500riyal bills). I will supposedly deposit the money on my account then there was something wrong on the ATM machine and it went off
line. No receipt came out from the machine and no text message received on my mobile from the bank. The incident happend last Sunday 27 Sept. 2020 at almost 11am. I called the Doha Bank Customer Service to file a report and has informed me that I should wait for at least 7 working days. Just now I made a follow up and the bank told me that the investigation was done and the money captured by the ATM machine was only 1000 riyals. I insisted that the amount as per my complain is 2000 riyals and I am very much sure about it. The bank told me then that they will conduct another investigation and I should wait again for 2 to 3 working days. Hoping that my money will be returned back to me.
I had the same experience last Friday on an ATM machine belonging to Arab bank. I slotted in my card and entered 11,000 QR and immediately the card came out and the screen didn't give any indication of transaction. No movement of money counting inside the machine and no money came out. I took the card and walked away and after few minutes so received an SMS that my account is debited by the same amount. I called the Doha Bank call center and the guy there told me they will verify with Arab bank and credit it back to my account.
Does anyone have this experience? Am I sure of getting my money back?

Yes. This happened to me a couple of months back. I was using an ATM card from an account in the US, and a phone call sorted it just fine.
Agreed. Once they balance the ATM (count the cash in the machine) they will realize the mistake. It's not uncommon.
It has happened to me. Call you own branch. They will return the money to your account pending an inquiry made to the bank owning the ATM. All ATM's to reconciliations at the end of the day. The ATM you used will show the imbalance.
money will be returned to your account. all the banks do ATM recdonciliations.
Dont worry your money will be credited to ur account but you have to file the complient....all d best..

just call the bank any time tell them the time and the place of the ATM just to make sure .
Don't worry.you won't get debited.they would return the money.worse comes ,you can ask them to play the video from the ATM outlet at the time you entered.please don't throw away your ATM receipt copy.
Chillax.it happens in most of the machines.and they credit the money back.
My sister experienced the same, she wanted to withdraw 10,000 QRs from the ATM machine of another bank and she holds the account in Q.I.B. She encountered the same issue, the card transaction failed, and she got the card no with no money and then an SMS saying the account was debited. I call both the banks immediately filed a compliant. Al thought the bank said she withdrew money, but after filing a compliant she got the money in her account after 10 days. All the head ache to get your OWN money.
My advice - As far as possible use your own banks ATM machines and that preferably those ATMS that are in Bank Branches. Dont withdraw large sums from other banks ATM machines. If you see a problem - Call and Report.
You will get all your money ! So worry about it. These are Trusted Ways of Network Banking ! Good Luck
