Resolution condeming Qatar's abuse of laborers is passed
An emergency resolution condeming Qatar's labor laws was passed by the European Parliament and has urged FIFA to “send a clear and strong message to Qatar to prevent the preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup being overshadowed by allegations of forced labor.”
Despite the urgency of the matter, the resolution fails to call on Qatar to abolish its 'modern day slavery' sponsorship (kafala) system. After several allegations and a recent report from Amnesty International describing the situation as a 'crisis', this is the latest example of negative international attention Qatar has received regarding its labor record. This condemnation follows a recent visit by Sepp Blatter, FIFA president, to Qatar, who has praised the country's efforts to improve the rights of workers.
In the meantime, Qatar has called the resolution 'premature'. These allegations were described by an as being exaggerated, but will be taken seriously nevertheless.

better for those who know nothing about SHariaa to shut their mouths and read even one small book about the rights of workers in Islam, instead of saying"we ll go back to the 15th century" .as if we were not in the ages of primitive slavery
kurian: Interesting..
Does your company supply manpower ?
How is the system wrong ?
i currently work in a manpower company and to be frank, this last two years have killed a part of my soul. this system may work but it is wrong in all ways imaginable.
zombie: I don't see how one really affects the other. The stadia will get built - with this or new labour. The WC will go ahead and once over, we will forget it all and move on to the next one.
in the words of mighty SPOCK ' the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few'. At the end of the day Qatar has to decide whether to continue to give in to the demands of the Qatar Chamber and keep the kafala system in perpetuity or make serious concessions and allow for a smooth FIFA world cup. Straddling both the fences will only lead to a sore crotch.

Qatar should follow the Islamic Sharia rules in which no strict kafala or NOC is required.
This is so obvious!!!They are trying so hardto make Qatar loses 2022 in any possible way!!! How about they go check the laborers in Mexico or Europe itself!!! Biggest Hypocrites!!!I believe they should get off Qatar back and give them a space to work properly on all their laws and give positive suggestions instead of keep firing their negative reports!!!
