Assalamu Alaikum People,

this is my first post for me here, so please bare with me alittle because i havent read much about job opportunities in doha.

im coming with my husband to doha in a couple of weeks from UK.
i have an IT bachelore from an american university that is located in the gulf. i have a couple of months experience in research and IT. im a mother, so im looking for a part time job or short working hrs job base.
so my questions goes:

- i am a hijabi, so am i gonna face some kind of rejection from some companies because of it? do they prefer non-jihabis?

- do they really have part time jobs?

- how hard is it gonna be to be too lucky to find a job in research?

- what is the salary range that i should expect in my case (based on my degree and experience)?

- if i gave up and decided to go to the eduaction field (for the short working hrs), do they take unexperienced teachers?

sorry for the looooooong post, but i really need to hear from u. thanx in advance :)

Thank u Aisha, well the social developmental center looks pretty cool. but i know how hard it really is to win a job over there. i hope it goes well for u too.

what else do u recommend similar to that place? (and by the way, can u name a salary range in such places so that i have a minimum idea?)

Well if you want a men free zone (sounds harsh.. poor men they’re our brothers :-D )then try schools, independents are ok in my opinion, you may get to teach computer to students.

Ummm, what about a females majority environment ( That’s what I’m welling to do myself) ? There are plenty like the Social developmental center and places alike.. Just ask around you’ll find many..

All part time job but I’m not sure if they pay well. Probably not.

It’s not easy to find a job here because the priority in the places I mentioned is for the Qataris… But it’s not impossible.. Only not very easy.

Good luck!
