My wife is pregnant and also she is in visit visa. since it I am not able to get leave for her delivery, she prefer to do the delivery here. Can someone advise me that how much will be a cost for a normal birth in Hamad hospital.

- Being on VISIT visa I found myself in Hamad hospital.

It was not a delivery.

Just some complications with pregnancy which ended in Evacualtion. For 8 days we paid about 7000 riyals (8 days stay and evacuation). So, delivery can be more expensive I guess.

Dr. Khudsia Begum. During the pregnancy I visited her two times. Just because we read in the forums about her and did not know any other doctors.

Will never go there again. In emergency cases she does not take any responsibility on her - just sends directly to Hamad Hospital. Ultrasound she made (150 riyals + 200 for emergency visit) was not somplete and doctors had to do it again in Hamad (80 riyals).

For any blood or urina tests she sends to Al Borg laboratory and sometimes prescribes tests which are not needed. I think she gets some profit on it sharing with Al Borg.

After you take a number you have to wait long time in a small lounge. Sorry but fot the money taken they could provide at least tissues in WC and some soap to wash your hands.

This is my personal experience. Maybe somebody was more lucky.

Just try to get residence and Health card by the time of delivery. And go to Hamad or other hospital which you can afford.

No one gets the HEALTH CARD if one is on VISIT VISA in QATAR...

Charges in HAMAD are very nominal...But it differs when a woman has to go for C-SECTION because of few reasons..

It's better to check with the WOMEN's hospital directly..

Hi,

As far I know Qatar Gov. never issue health card for Visit visa holders, you has to start with a Private Clinic, when she completed 30-35 weeks of her pregnancy, doctor will refer her to the Hamad Hospital doctor. May be Dr. Badurdeen.

The best Doctor I could refer is Dr. Kudsia Bagum, just visit her from the beginning. When its comes to at Hamad delivery its only Qr. 100/= per day for the occupied bed.

No worries, Good Luck!

if she has health card then she must pay only 100 riyal per day

there is no extra cost for c section or anything else
