Lekhwiya Station Address
Hi all, I got a traffic fine for parking with 3 demerit points. When I went to settle the fine at Traffic Dept near Immigration Roundabout, they told me that I have to go to Lekhwiya Office on Al Waab St, as Lekhwiya is the one who has given me parking fine and not the Traffic Dept.
First of all, can someone please tell me the difference between the two departments (Traffic Police & Lekhwiya)? Secondly, can someone please tell me the address of Lekhwiya Office on Al Waab St and directions to reach it from Hamad Hospital? Also the traffic department cashier lady asked me (in very bad english) that "Do you want this fine on your driving license or your car plate?" I did not understand her at all, but she could not explain any more. Can please someone tell me or try to tell me about what possibly she was talking about? She further told me that "Go and talk to Captain at Lekhwyia. They might remove the points". What does this mean?

I couldnt be bothered finding Lekhwiya office, so I paid my fine at Traffic Police Dept near Immigration Roundabout. So sorry, not much help! However if you manage to get your Lekhwiya fine written off or reduced after talking to the Traffic officer there, please let me know too. Also tell me the exact address of Lekhwiya Police Station. All I know is that its near Al Waab St.

what happened to your Lekhwiya visit and fine?
As I also got 2 fines, one from traffic police (use of mobile while driving) & other from Lekhwiya (wrong overtake), basically I was not driving at mentioned time of offence.
I also need to go and check with Lekhwiya.

Your fine is probably related to parking in or around the Corniche / Diplomatic area while the area was cordoned off for a passing head of state / diplomat.
But I do not agree that I should have got the fine in the first place; therefore, I want to chat with the traffic officer to see if I can convince him.
Can anyone please tell me the address to the Lekhwiya Office on Al Waab St?

IN MY OPENION DONT GO TO LAKHVIYA AND TRY YOUR BEST TO PAY THE FINE AT ANY TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT, BECOUSE, LAKHVIYA IS A SPECIAL SECURITY FORCES, IF YOU GO THERE THEY COULD MAKE SOME PROB.
