Environment has different definitions; one of the definitions of environment is what surrounds you. Some environments can affect people and some can not, there is the home environment, the community environment, the school, college, and work environment, and there is also the peer (friends) environment.
A bad environment will always has a negative impact, you can reject to live in a environment which will ruins your life, but never go against your parents , as you know your existence is achieved by two things: first is the God blessing and second the relation ship your father and mother.
In Islam if you are Muslim and your father and mother are not Muslims you should always obey them and be good to them as long as they do not tell you to be Non Muslim.
Question:
Could a Non Muslim family have Muslim Sons?
Answer:
Yes, I know that the American host family which I stayed they one of their sons who is Muslim.
Also in Canada there was an Irish boy who was speaking very good Arabic and teaching some people how to read holy Quran in Arabic.
Finally
Always be good always be nice, and treat the people in the way you want to be treated.

Life, to me, is like a quiet forest pool, one that needs a direct hit from a big rock half-buried in the ground. You pull and you pull, but you can't get the rock out of the ground. So you give it a good kick, but you lose your balance and go skidding down the hill toward the pool. Then out comes a big Hawaiian man who was screwing his wife beside the pool because they thought it was real pretty. He tells you to get out of there, but you start faking it, like you're talking Hawaiian, and then he gets mad and chases you...

1. The Linguistic Meaning of Fitrah

Every new-born child is born in a state of fitrah. Then his parents make him a Jew, a Christian or a Magian, just as an animal is born intact. Do you observe any among them that are maimed (at birth)?’[1]

2. The Religious Meaning of Fitrah

3. Fitrah and Human Responsibility

4. Alienation from Fitrah

The new born will always follow his parents religion but later on he might change.

This applies for Muslims and Non Muslims.

Not unless the children are American and in need of accomodation. And SONS only! Very important! :P

Khalid / Master78 - your sense of logic is seriously wanting. Forget climate change at this point. Work on change within, yes?
