We have just moved in to West Bay Lagoon and discovered that we have fibre optics installed, but when we call Qtel they tell us that it has not gone live and that someone will tell us when it does.
Anyone know any time scales and costs likely to be charged?
As far as I have heard from the grapevine, the buildings in West Bay are Fiber ready.
However, services will start with business clients in West Bay area then mid or late next year to the residential clients. Then gradually expanding thoughout Doha. Then after 2014 throughout Qatar.
Maybe is not a big detailed information; however this is the only thing they have so far....so not even a cost or fees structure is in place (at least not officially)

LP they called QTEL and they did not know when, or how much would the service cost range.
